Do you know what the decision makers at key players in your market are talking about?
Well, you can find out on LinkedIn.
Earlier, I explained how you can find relevant content on LinkedIn. Additionally, you can listen to a specific group of people.
Here’s how:
Step 1 – Compose a list of names
You probably focus an a specific sector in a specific region.
Let’s say you’re targeting industrial companies in The Netherlands. A list of relevant companies can easily be found through Wikipedia, industry specific publishers & platforms, or employer & sector associations.
Once you have a list of companies you’d like to work for, you can map the Decision Making Unit (DMU) at each of these companies.
Let’s say the DMU for your services comprises the CEO, Legal Counsel, Sustainability Officer and Head of Procurement. Names can be found through corporate websites and LinkedIn’s search functionality – use this link and the filters Current Company and Title.
Step 2 – Enter the names
Search for content on LinkedIn using this link. Click All filters and add the names from your list under From member. You should be able to add multiple members and see their posts.
Please note they won’t know you’re following them. Since you’re not inviting them to connect, you don’t follow them, or even visit their profiles.
Step 3 – Bookmark your results
Once you’re happy with the results, press CTRL (or CMD on Mac) + D to bookmark the URL. This allows you to return to the search results at any point in time. I highly recommend to do this once a week as it allows you to keep track of developments within your target market.
Hope this helps!
